Ginger is now Ginger Leadership Communications

Sarah Lloyd-Hughes

After 10 years of describing ourselves as ‘public speaking specialists’ and being told by our clients we were way more than that, we’ve settled on a new name that suits us better.

Ginger is now Ginger Leadership Communications.

What is ‘leadership communications’?

Communication is the beating heart of great leadership. It’s the most important skill for any leader wishing to influence and inspire others.

Put simply, if you can’t communicate, you’re going to struggle to lead. Leaders at all levels need to

clearly express their vision, build relationships, and motivate others towards a common goal. And because this relies on human to human connection, spoken-word communication is the key to unlocking leadership success.

Leadership communications is everything about the ‘voice’ of a leader: the way they pinpoint and articulate a vision, the way they present, the way they motivate their team – and more.

What’s special about Ginger’s work?

Yes, we help clients to master public speaking, from pitches to TED talks, but what we do is so much more than skills training alone. That’s why calling ourselves ‘public speaking trainers’ didn’t cut it.

Ginger’s Leadership Communications trainings are experiences that fundamentally transform our participants, both in their communication skills and their leadership capabilities.

Using our Human Brilliance Blueprint we develop leaders who speak up, speak out and speak human. We fire up purpose-driven leaders who act in service of others and drive positive change, so they make a greater contribution at work and in society.

Our tagline ‘inspiring human brilliance’ beautifully captures both the impact we have on our clients and the inspiring impact they go on to have in the wider world. Here’s how we do it.

The transformative adventure of finding your voice

Ginger’s focus on public speaking has always been an excuse to create radical change in our clients, whilst developing a skill that benefits their day-to-day life.

But we’ve never been public speaking ‘technicians’. You won’t learn about pathos, logos and ethos in our trainings and you won’t sit there nodding (or nodding off) through a dry PowerPoint theory session.

We know that people can make huge leaps forward in their leadership when they go beyond their comfort zone. That’s why bungee jumps and trust falls have long been staples of team building work. But fun as they may (or may not!) be, bungee jumps and trust falls aren’t part of daily business life for most of us. Public speaking is. Speaking and communicating is. Influencing your teams and your clients is.

Speaking can be as terrifying – and transformational as any extreme sport.

So we use the practical act of finding your leadership voice and sharing it with passion and vulnerability as an adventure that completely transforms individuals and their leadership.

Courage and authenticity builds leaders

When people are courageously authentic in their communication, they start to change the world. From the passionate campaigners, to C-suite idealists, to industry rising stars, we’ve helped leaders to step out of the shadows and into the full-force potency of their leadership.

It’s our mission to help leaders cultivate their ideas for change and make a greater impact at work and in society; and then galvanise others to do the same.

That’s what leadership communications is about for us.

And that’s what Ginger Leadership Communications can do for you and your team. Drop us a line if you’d like to explore.
